Biography
Leah McFall was born the 1st July 1989,born and raised in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. She is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter and fashion student.
At the age of six Leah started her siging career at her local church, Glenabbey. She was a pupil at Antrim Grammar School. Now currently studing in London. During her childhood she listened to Motown, jazz, gospel, folk and pop music which was played around the family home. Leah was inpired by everything she heard, and this is reflected uin her vocal skills and song writting. After years of gigging around Northern Ireland, Leah uprooted to London to follow her dream. After just six months there, she was playing at the world famous Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.
In 2013 Leah auditioned for the blid auditions of the Voice Uk (TV program). In her audition McFall sang the Rita Ora hit "R.I.P". Will.i.am and Jessie J turned round for her, to draw her into their teams. She chose to join Will's team. from their she was a good contestent and got through all the stages. In her first live show on 7 June 2013 Leah sang 'I Will Survive' by Gloria Gaynor. Her performance wowed the judges and her studio version charted at number 16 on the UK Singles Chart with just 24 hours of sales, selling 19,213 copies of the track between Friday evening and the close of the chart week on Saturday night. A week later it climbs to No.8. McFall performed the Fugees' version of Killing Me Softly in the semi-final on 15 June 2013. She got to the final of the voice and infortunately did win but still made a name for her self.
"During her time in the competition she received support from Cheryl Cole, Rochelle Humes, Natasha Hamilton, Dante Santiago and Holly Willoughby and was widely tipped to win after her version of Gloria Gaynor's hit 'I Will Survive' stormed the charts."
After the Voice Finale Will.i.am confirmed that he and McFall would start work on new music a week later in New York. Will.i.am said on the 1st of July 2013 that he was going ton release a new version of his single "Bang Bang" featuring McFall. On 14 July 2013, McFall performed at the Wireless Festival supporting actb of will.i.am. McFall also went alongside Will.i.am on his #willpower Tour. She sang "This Is Love", Just Can't Get Enough and "Where Is the Love?".
Leah's fist release official video is called "No Ordinary Love", it was released on February 1 2014. On June 6th, she also announced the title of her first official single, "Home" featuring will.i.am. She also released the cover of the single via facebook.
